MAX-PRO portfolio

Pre-release mechanical design assurance

MAX-PRO Design Red Team

Formerly presented on this website as MAX-AI Design Red Team

AI was removed from the public product name because the current workbench uses deterministic screening and explicitly does not use generative AI. MAX-PRO Design Red Team keeps the company provenance without implying an AI capability the product does not use.

Give a machined-bracket revision an explainable, deterministic second pass before release.

The job to be done

Why this product exists.

Problem

Design reviews can miss manufacturability, assembly, serviceability, safety, tolerance, material, and field-failure risks when requirements, evidence, and revision changes are spread across different files and meetings.

What it does

The current public workbench compares editable baseline and candidate bracket inputs. It performs deterministic geometry-feasibility gates, preliminary net-section and stress-concentration screening, RPN-style risk ranking, CTQ generation, recommendations, and revision deltas—with the method and limits visible on screen.

How it works

One controlled path through the handoff.

  1. 01

    Define both revisions

Enter the part, revision, material, process, geometry, loading, factor, tolerance, and surface-finish assumptions for the baseline and candidate.

  2. 02

    Run the transparent screen

Review live geometry, hard feasibility holds, preliminary stress and ligament checks, ranked risks, CTQs, and recommended validation work.

  3. 03

    Compare and export

See score, factor, RPN, and stress deltas between revisions, then export the complete JSON evidence record for the next review.

Concrete example

What the workflow looks like in practice.

A bracket revision changes material, wall thickness, and mounting-hole geometry. The review compares the two evidence packages, identifies the risks that decreased or increased, recommends inspection and load-validation steps, and surfaces unresolved validation work before release.

Inputs and outputs

What goes in. What comes out.

Inputs and context

  • Baseline and candidate part/revision names
  • Material and manufacturing process
  • Width, height, thickness, hole, edge, and fillet geometry
  • Design load and required factor
  • Tolerance and surface-roughness assumptions

Resulting record

  • Hard geometry-feasibility result
  • Preliminary stress, factor, and ligament screen
  • Ranked RPN-style risk register
  • CTQs and recommended next actions
  • Revision delta and portable JSON evidence

Where it fits

Distinct role. Clear handoff.

Protoary organizes design intent and the controlled release package. Design Red Team independently challenges the design evidence. DatumRelay then preflights the downstream manufacturing package.

Current boundaries

What this product is not.

These limits are part of the product decision. They are shown before the launch link so the current scope is clear.

  • No generative AI is used in the current public workbench; its equations and preliminary thresholds are deterministic and visible.
  • It is not a CAD editor, FEA solver, full load-path model, released drawing, certification, or licensed engineering approval.
  • The concept diagram and screening record depend on the supplied assumptions and must be followed by qualified analysis, testing, supplier review, and release authority as applicable.
